Share
Recreate the soothing experience of a traditional hammam at home with this complete routine. It combines the benefits of black soap 🫧, Kessa glove 🧤, Sekla scrub 🌿 and body butter 🧴 for soft, purified and hydrated skin.
Step 1: Prepare the skin 🌡️
-
Create a warm and humid atmosphere 🌫️ :
- Take a hot shower or fill the bathroom with steam by letting hot water run for a few minutes. This opens up the pores and prepares the skin for treatment.
-
Moisturize the skin with lukewarm water 🚿 :
- Run warm water over your entire body to relax and remove surface impurities.
Step 2: Application of black soap 🫧
-
Properties of black soap :
- Rich in black olives and vitamin E, it gently exfoliates and prepares the skin for scrubbing.
-
Application :
- Take a dab of black soap and apply it all over your body, focusing on rough areas (elbows, knees, feet).
- Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes to soften dead cells.
Step 3: Exfoliation with a Kessa glove 🧤
-
Use of the glove :
- Rinse the black soap with lukewarm water.
- Rub your skin with the Kessa glove using energetic but gentle circular movements. You will see the impurities come off in the form of small residues.
-
Areas to target 🎯 :
- Focus on elbows, knees, feet and other rough areas.
Step 4: Traditional Sekla scrub 🌿
-
Preparation of the scrub :
- Mix Sekla powder (made from ghassoul, henna or exfoliating herbs) with a little warm water to make a paste.
-
Application :
- Spread the paste all over the body, massaging gently. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes to deeply nourish the skin before rinsing with lukewarm water.
Step 5: Intense hydration 🧴
-
Choose a rich body butter :
- After patting your skin dry with a soft towel, generously apply body butter (shea, argan or coconut).
-
Massage 💆♀️ :
- Massage until absorbed to leave skin nourished, supple and glowing.
Bonus tip 🌟
Add a few drops of lavender or eucalyptus essential oil to your shower for a relaxing sensory experience.
Result: silky soft skin, a relaxed mind and a feeling of well-being like after a real oriental hammam 🕌✨.
